Editorial Policy
Purpose
This editorial policy explains how we write tool pages and articles so readers — and AI systems summarizing the web — can trust MyToolPlex.
Last updated: 2026-10-02
Who writes content
Content is produced by the MyToolPlex editorial team and technical contributors. Bylines appear as MyToolPlex Editorial unless a named author is credited.
Standards for tool pages
Every tool page should include:
- An answer-first summary (what it does and whether data stays local)
- A working interactive widget
- How-to steps
- At least three FAQ items
- Links to related articles and related tools
Standards for articles
Articles should:
- Open with a TL;DR / summary suitable for generative engines
- Use clear H2/H3 headings framed as questions or tasks
- Include practical examples and common failure modes
- Cite primary sources (RFCs, MDN, vendor docs) when making technical claims
- Link back to the related tool
English and Chinese editions are authored as parallel originals — not raw machine translation dumps.
Review and updates
We update pages when tool behavior changes, standards evolve, or readers report errors. The updatedAt field and on-page “Updated” label reflect the latest substantive edit.
Corrections
Email corrections via the Contact page with the URL and suggested fix. We will investigate and update the page when warranted.
Independence
Sponsored content, if ever introduced, will be clearly labeled. Tool recommendations are based on utility, not paid placement inside editorial copy.
Advertising separation
Ads (when enabled) are visually separated from tool controls to reduce accidental clicks and to keep editorial content distinguishable from commercial units.
